NCAA Super 10 Fan Selection Committee Contest

This is a rare opportunity for great basketball fans to see how their selections for the NCAA men’s tournament stack up to those of the official selection committee.

The Super 10 Fan Selection Committee will be made up of 10 super fans who are selected to participate in a mock selection process in Atlanta, at the same time the official selection committee is meeting — and using the same data.  It’s as close to being in the room of the real selection process as you can get! I thought you or your followers/readers might be interested in entering this first-of-its-kind contest.

Here are some of the details:

  • Fans are asked to submit a 30-second video expressing their passion for the game and explain why they are worthy to be a member of the inaugural Super 10 Selection Committee.  The video entries will be narrowed down to the top 20 by February 2. Fans will vote for their favorite and the 10 most voted video entries will become the first ever Super 10.
  • The Super 10 will be flown to Atlanta to go through the process of determining the 68-team tournament bracket.  Just like the real selection committee, the Super 10 Fan Selection Committee will use the Nitty Gritty Reports and other NCAA information to discuss, break down and choose teams for the first-ever fan committee bracket. The Super 10 bracket will be released to the public an hour before the official bracket. Fans around the world will be able to follow the committee’s progress through social media and online updates throughout the weekend.
  • In addition to going through the mock selection process, fans will enjoy a VIP tour of Tuner Studios, tickets to the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament and a Selection Sunday wrap up party.

We need passionate, informed fans to make this committee great. This contest is part of Selection U, where NCAA.com is pulling back the curtain on the selection process for the Division I men’s basketball tournament.

This contest is being housed on the official NCAA March Madness Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ncaamarchmadness) and video entries are being accepted until Tuesday, February 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
